Only 19 days after Mobilicity announced their partnering with 7-Eleven Canada for distribution Mobilicity & hmv announced today that they will be working together this holiday season. As a result, very soon (no date has been given) hmv customers will be able to sign up with Mobilicity in select Toronto and Ottawa stores. As per usual with Mobilicity plans, they will be able to sign up without contracts or credit checks.

Representatives from the two companies couldn’t be happier as quoted in the press release Mobilicty put out today. Doug Perry, Mobilicity’s VP of Sales, said, “[t]here are a lot of synergies between Mobilicity, hmv and the customers we share, as wireless continues to play a growing role in Canadians’ lives, we want to make it easy and affordable for consumers to get quality 3G wireless service where they shop.” Nick Williams, President of hmv Canada, was equally as excited. He said, “hmv is thrilled to be partnering with Mobilicity as part of our ongoing evolution as a premiere entertainment retail destination.”
