Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 headed to Mobilicity

News has come out that Mobilicity will be adding another Android device to their already pretty solid lineup of handsets, and I must admit a hat tip is in order.
Back in the Spring when the device was first launched exclusively with Rogers, many scrutinized Sony Ericsson for releasing such a feature rich device on a buggy, aging version of Android 1.6. Despite the tepid reviews Rogers heavily promoted the device and considered it a success.
Fast forward a few months, after much delay, Sony Ericsson finally pushed out Android 2.1 to its very eager customer base. Though we were very reluctant to endorse the phone in its initial form, we have to admit the Android 2.1 update fixes a lot of the major bugs, making the device much more pleasurable to use.
Lately, Mobilicity has been on a hot streak, realizing the growing demand for Android devices in Canada. They were the first carrier to release the Nexus One in Ontario, and the first to bring an under $200 off-contract device with the Motorola Spice. Today’s news just confirms that Mobilicity is not only here to stay, but here to dominate the growing AWS market in Ontario.
Kudos to them and good luck on the recent expansion in Canada.
