So the word is finally out, Motorola will be splitting into two divisions as early as January 2011: one that will handle all of its mobility-related business, and another that focuses on wireless technology for business and government.

The names? Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, with Motorola co-CEO Greg Brown handling all aspects of the Solutions division. Both parts anticipate some large growth for Q1, specifically Mobility with growing sales from the Droid lineup of devices on Verizon.
