$750 is a lot of money. It’s the price of a 32GB Wifi+3G iPad. And now, if this leak is to be believed, it is the no-contract price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Now, on a 3-year plan it will be significantly cheaper, but a lot of people don’t want to commit to a data plan on a tablet that may be obsolete within 3 months.

Will you be purchasing the Galaxy Tab from Rogers, or from any of the Canadian carriers? I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it, but if you want a preview of the device, we’ve already done a pretty thorough one. And it looks pretty sweet.

[Thanks Spinz!]

i like the whole tablet idea, but right now none catch my eye, the iPad is just a big version of the iPhone, now if the iPad had OSX then it would be a different story.Same with the Tab, just a bigger version of the Galaxy S phone line up. I will be waiting for a Windows 7 tablet. I love working with Windows 7 and would love to have it on a tablet. I want my tablet to function just as my netbook does. When i think of tablet i think of a netbook without keyboard, not a cell phone with a few more inches of screen. Im tired of having restrictions just because it is a portable device.

Couldn’t agree more and the exact reason why I haven’t bought a tablet yet. I own a net book, an iPhone and a BlackBerry. Don’t need much more.

you “own” a netbook? is that what you’re calling it these days?

Crowley, the 7″ size is far bigger than the 5″ Streak, and is quite suitable for a tablet in spite of what Guru says above. It’s also a much more pocket-friendly size. It all comes down to how you’re going to interact with the unit.

Sorry, Daniel has corrected me (yet again).
    I use his, lovingly.

[...] While the Samsung Galaxy Tab is making its way across U.S. carriers right now, we’re still waiting for Rogers in Canada to even really price the thing let alone, get it up on the website and in stores to sell. Many rumors have circulated surrounding the pricing but this has got to be the most extreme one I have read thus far. If the above image is in any way accurate then the no contract pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be set at 0 for Rogers and well, they’ve forced me to lose all concern I had in purchasing one. sorry that should say notebook not netbook,
I can see how people will like the 7″, as u said u can easily slide it into your pocket and as u said it all comes down to how your going to interact with it, im sure the Tab will sell millions of units,
but as for me…i think i would prefer a bigger screen, when i think of tablet im not looking for a pocket friendly device, my cell phone is my pocket friendly device
since i havent had a hands on with 7″ i cant give my full opinion, i did like the size of the iPad though. I am excited for Rogers to get the Tab so I can get a hands on, who knows maybe I will fall in love with the 7″
