Nokia N8 and BlackBerry Bold 9780 Now Available From Rogers

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 was possibly RIM’s worst-kept secret: we all knew it was coming, and everyone was talking about it except for the carriers.
Well, today Rogers has announced the venerable refresh of the Bold line at an executive-level pricepoint of $149.99 on a three-year contract. This is actually lower than was feared, and $150 less than what the Bold 9700 debuted at over a year ago. The BlackBerry 9780 is visually identical to the 9700, but has 512MB of RAM, a 5MP camera and comes standard with BlackBerry 6, a well-needed interface upgrade. We showed you BlackBerry 6 on the Bold 9700 and 9780 last week.
Another cool debut, and a Rogers exclusive, is the Nokia N8, the company’s latest foray into high-end smartphones. The N8 has a 3.5″ capacitive touchscreen, 512MB RAM, 16GB internal memory and a 12MP camera with Xenon flash. Priced at $79.99 on a three-year contract, this device will definitely be a hit with Nokia veterans and photography enthusiasts.
