OtterBox Launches OtterCares Foundation

OtterBox, the company that makes some of the most well known and liked smartphone protective cases, has launched a charitable organization called the OtterCares Foundation.
From their press release:
“When Nancy Richardson, OtterCares Founder and President, first dreamed of starting a charitable foundation she wanted to create something that had a lasting positive impact on both the surrounding community and OtterBox employees. With this “ripple effect” launch project titled the “Get It, Grow It, Give It Challenge,” the foundation is off to a great start.”
Because of the alliteration in that last sentence the challenge is known as the G3 Challenge.
The G3 Challenge is described in the press release as
“First, each employee received a $200 grant certificate to bestow upon the charity of their choice. Employees were challenged to grow this gift in some way such as raising additional funds, matching the donation with a personal contribution, collecting needed items or even volunteering their time to the organization.”
This sounds like an awesome idea and awesome work being done by a company that also makes some superb products. If you want to know more about the charity and about the company check out the link below for the full press release.
