It’s been rumoured for a long time and Engadget just got exclusive photos regarding the PlayStation Phone. Yes, you read that right!

What you see above is the PlayStation Phone which will be running on Android’s next major version, “Gingerbread”. Although this is a prototype model right now, specs reportedly include a 3.7 to a 4.1-inch display, a new Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8655 CPU, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, a multitouch trackpad, a microSD card slot, and even the shoulder buttons that you should be familiar with by now.

Because this is a prototype, the OS running is very buggy. Don’t expect to be seeing a release for this device until at least early 2011.

Sorry kids that’s one toy to scratch off the Christmas list this year.
