There are some people out there who rarely pull the battery on their BlackBerrys and then there are people like me. After having my 9700 for just a few months, the battery cover would begin to slip off from time to time. It eventually got to the point where it was unbearable and I came up with a quick fix.

I was on a road trip with some friends this past weekend and one of my buddies was complaining that the cover on his 9700 kept slipping off. It then occurred to me that I’ve never shared my cheap and easy DIY fix with anyone.

All you have to do is simply put a piece of electrical tape on the left and right of the inside of the battery cover where it is still flat. It doesn’t have to be perfect. (See picture above)

Voilà! Your 9700 will feel solid once again. It definitely beats buying a new battery cover.
