BlackBerry Tip: Use the right side convenience key to focus camera

@BlackBerryHelp posts several informative tweets daily, some of them being tips. Just when I thought I knew all things BlackBerry, the manual camera focus tip was news to me. I decided to give it a try on a Bold 9000, 9700 & Curve 9330. The right side convenience keys on the 9000 and 9330 cannot be pushed halfway in. This wasn’t really surprising, being that neither of those device’s cameras have auto-focus. The 9700 is the only device out of the three in which the tip works on. BerryReview also confirmed the tip works on the Torch 9800. Based on my findings, this tip most likely works on any BlackBerry with a 3.2 megapixel camera and up.
I always kind of wondered why the right side key on my 9700 felt a bit weird, but for some odd reason I never looked into it. I just knew if I pressed the key in hard it would register and I was satisfied with that. Have you ever had the right side key set to open up an app, and it sometimes seemed like it failed to work? It all makes sense now that it’s clear the key has two levels of press.
