And now a word from Vertu…

One thing Vertu is known for is their crazy expensive phones, with prices easily ranging from $3,000 to $300,000 for one of their signature models — no biggie, eh?
Yesterday, they took to the internet to do some… err, convincing as to why you should withdraw the kids college fund to buy one of their phones and be able to justify it to the family.
Have a look:

Although Hutch Hutchinson (such a powerful name, eh?) Head of Concept Creation, does a great job explaining what goes into the making of each phone, I’m still not convinced.
We as consumers are clumsy and neglectful; it’s in our nature. So to buy a phone of that value and stand the chance of dropping, losing, or breaking it, well, I don’t even want to think about it. To top it off, the device doesn’t have anything to brag about internally; you get more for less from Android, BlackBerry or even Apple. (take that Symbian)
But, if you are a kid like Zuckerberg (whose said business is doing quite well right now) and have a few bucks to spare why not, right?
