I would like to give a hat tip to Mobilicty, sincerely.

For a carrier consistently under scrutiny; not only have they maintained composure, firmly, but are doing a bang up job deciding which phones to release.

Just yesterday came word that they would be the first Canadian carrier to officially carry Google’s recently defunct Nexus One, rocking none other than 2.2 (Froyo). Today comes word of another sexy little phone to grace their lineup, the Curve 3G (9300). What is interesting is how out of left field this comes; other than T-Mobile, there hasn’t been much word of an AWS Curve 3G, nonetheless one hitting Canadian soil and don’t discount the fact that they have priced it off contract at only $299.99, cheaper than ALL Canadian carriers. Oh yah, one more thing, not only is the device OS 6 compatible, but that OS may be found floating around the inter-webs.

Does all this spark your interest now? You can find out more on the Curve 3G from Mobilicity.ca

Mobilicity announces BlackBerry Curve 3G smartphone

at industry-leading no-contract price of $299.99

Wireless carrier bolsters smartphone lineup for unlimited data customers

Toronto, ON – October 1, 2024 – In releasing Research In Motion’s (RIM) new BlackBerry® Curve 3G smartphone at an affordable, no-contract price of $299.99, Mobilicity today reinforced its commitment to making unlimited data accessible to more consumers to enjoy.

Consumers can add Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) and unlimited data onto any Mobilicity plan for $20 – making it possible to get unlimited web browsing, email and BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™) for as low as $35 a month. Plus, unlike with other carriers, consumers do not have to lock into a contract to get a great price on a BlackBerry nor will they incur surprise charges for data.

Feature-rich, powerful and affordable, the BlackBerry Curve 3G is an excellent choice for the growing number of people buying their first smartphone to stay connected and productive while on the go.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G features a comfortable full-QWERTY keyboard for fast, accurate typing, optical trackpad for fluid navigation, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi®, as well as dedicated media keys, a camera that can record video and a microSD/SDHC slot that supports up to 32 GB memory cards for media storage. Support for 3G networks makes browsing faster, streaming music smoother, and gives users the ability to talk on the phone while they browse the web or instant message with BBM™ (BlackBerry® Messenger).

The BlackBerry Curve 3G ships with BlackBerry® 5 and is BlackBerry® 6 ready. BlackBerry 6 is a new operating system for BlackBerry® smartphones. It retains the trusted features that distinguish the BlackBerry brand while delivering a fresh and engaging experience that is both powerful and easy to use. BlackBerry 6 is expected to be available for the BlackBerry Curve 3G, subject to carrier certifications, in the coming months.

The user-friendly BlackBerry Curve 3G joins the BlackBerry Bold 9700 ($449.99) in Mobilicity’s growing smartphone lineup. Mobilicity’s unlimited plans range from its teen and tween-friendly unlimited text and picture-messaging plan ($15/month) to its unlimited data, unlimited global text, unlimited talk and unlimited North American long-distance plan for $65 a month – Canada’s best all-in-one wireless value.
