About a week after the pre-order page popped up, dummy phones of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S Captivate have started to arrive at retail locations.

Though an official release date is still up in the air, rumors have suggested an Oct. 16th launch date. However, with dummies hitting stores already, we may be able to expect it as early as next week; a bit earlier than originally expected. (I don’t think anyone is complaining about that one)

Either way, a lot is riding on the success of this device and it has the specs. to back it. Let’s hope when it does launch, that is does as well as Rogers needs it to.
