Rogers has finally opened the floodgates and begun selling the BlackBerry Torch 9800, online only, until tomorrow when it will be in stores as was previously announced.

The phone will run you $199.99 on a 3-year, $499.99 on a 2-year and no-contract for $609.99.

The specs have this touchscreen slider with RIM’s new BlackBerry 6 OS, 3.2-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 360, full QWERTY keyboard, 624 MHz processor, 512 MB of internal flash memory, can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card (Rogers ships with a 4 GB card), 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, WiFi, and GPS.

As well, the Rogers website is showing that the Torch will come with a free Bluetooth Headset - “a $60 value” - until October 30th when you order and activate it (as a new activation, not an upgrade) online.

Launched for online or not, Rogers and BlackBerry have yet to update the Rogers BlackBerry Software Download Page to include the BlackBerry Torch. I’m interested to find out what OS build the device is released with.

For more info go to the Rogers site here.
