It’s now official that Samsung’s first tablet device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be coming to Rogers in the coming months.

The Galaxy Tab features a brilliant 7-inch enhanced TFT display screen and a 1GHz Hummingbird Application processor, supports 3D graphics and a front facing camera for video chat. The Galaxy Tab will be powered by Android 2.2, the with full support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 as well.

Because the Galaxy Tab will run Android 2.2, consumers will have access to the 80,000 applications already in the android market. Most of the current apps in the Android Marketplace will be scalable to the Tab’s screen at 1024×600 resolution, while the ones that aren’t will be centered on the screen at 800×400 resolution.
