The Motorola Android Slider Pops Up…Again

It wasn’t long ago that those blurry images of a slider phone popped-up. You knew it was Android powered because of the distinct red-eye, but otherwise not much else could be told of this little device.
Low and behold, clearer images popped up today online, looking eerily similar to the recently launched BlackBerry Torch 9800. It does look cheaper and more plastic-y, but at least it isn’t taking after the size/form factor of the Palm Pre. Tentatively, it has been given the model name XT300 (Droid is used by Verizon for higher end devices) and will likely run their proprietary MOTOBLUR skin on launch. Not much else is known spec-wise, but expect this device to start making more noise in the coming months.
Just what we needed in the smartphone world: another ugly, mid-range device that will probably be dead in the water on launch. (Just saying).
