Samsung Galaxy S Emerges In Europe, Coming To America Later In Year

There has been a veritable deluge of information regarding the Samsung Galaxy S. It’s supposed to have a killer 1GHZ processor (though noone knows anything about it yet), 512MB RAM, 8-16GB internal storage, and a bunch of nice other features, all decked out with a beautiful 4-inch Super AMOLED screen. The whole thing stinks of class. Except that it has no flash for its camera, but that’s a moot point. Or, is it, ahem 3GS?
They are launching the phone this month in Europe, and in North America towards the end of the year. Though I’d reckon that it will be sooner than later.
But this phone, with its worldwide expansion, is poised to bring Samsung into the smartphone limelight. They have recently launched their own Bada operating system for mobile devices, but that won’t make much headway in North America. What they need to focus on is Android, which is fast becoming the only legitimate competitor to Apple and iPhone in the mobile space.
I have no doubt that, with these specs, and such wide distribution, the Samsung Galaxy S will sell hotcakes.
Hit the break for full specs.
