AT&T stores begin receiving Torch 9800 T-shirts

We all know the official launch of the 9800 Torch is just around the corner, but what’s a proper launch without a cheesy t-shirt to go with it?

A tipster just sent us this shot of the t-shirt that is starting to circulate around AT&T retail stores, telling us that all reps are expected to wear it on launch day. I wonder if this is the same shirt our home town carriers will get, or if we will get something more unique.

Galaxy Spica To Get 2.1?

File this as a rumor because of the amount of delays thus far, but one of our solid Rogers connects just informed us that Rogers is planning to release the 2.1 update for the Galaxy Spica within the next month.

We will keep you posted as we know more.

Blackberry/AT&T Holding A Launch Party For The 9800?

One of our tipsters sent us this screen shot of the invite they just received to a party AT&T and Blackberry are hosting in New York next week. Although it doesn’t go into specific device detail, one can assume it is for the 9800 for two significant reasons

1) Launch is imminent, rumored on or around Aug 15th

2) That calendar icon looks eerily similar to the calendar icon on Blackberry 6, slated to launch first on the Blackberry 9800.

Rogers Selling its Home Phone Division?

For now you can file this as a rumour, but one of our solid sources has just tipped us off that Rogers is in the process of selling / has sold its Home Phone division to Primus. As with all rumors until this is officially announced by Rogers we can’t confirm nor deny its validity.

We will update as we hear more.
