Another day, another announcement of two technology companies battling it out in the courtroom. This time the culprits are Motorola Mobility and Apple, fighting it out in a German court regarding Apple products ( iPhone (3G, 3GS and 4), iPad 3G and iPad2 3G ) that may be violating Motorola Mobility patents, mainly European Patent 1010336 (B1), which covers a “method for performing a countdown function during a mobile-originated transfer for a packet radio system.” Apple has been given the the opportunity to remove the infringing elements from their devices but chances are they will go another route and will appeal the ruling.
