Seesmic to Drop Blackberry Support; Hard Times Continue for RIM

As of June 30th, mobile app developer “Seesmic” has announced that they will no longer be developing applications for BlackBerry phones because they will be focusing on the Android and iOS platform.
It seems that people are dumping on RIM’s products more and more these days. Unfortunately, it’s a competitive smart phone environment and survival of the fittest is phasing out companies that aren’t keeping up with the times. If RIM is to pull itself out of this nosedive, they have to do something dramatic.
RIM’s stock recently hit it’s 52 week low. Also, as we recently reported, RIM’s VP of Digital Marketing and Media, Brian Wallace has left the company – the latest in a group of executives.
